The Issues

Make The Road Nevada is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Latine and working-class communities of color in Nevada. Through grassroots organizing, policy innovation, and transformative education, they address critical issues such as immigrant justice, health equity, economic justice, housing justice, environmental justice, youth justice, and LGBTQ+ justice. Their initiatives include providing bilingual affordable housing resources, advocating for professional license reforms to support undocumented immigrants, and engaging youth in leadership and advocacy through the Youth Power Project. By informing, empowering, and mobilizing community members, Make The Road Nevada strives to create a more just and equitable society.

Protest

Make the Road Nevada (MRNV) is a statewide, member-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with offices in Las Vegas and Reno, and growing roots across rural Nevada. We center our work on the priorities identified by our members and build the power of Latine, immigrant, and working-class communities of color to achieve dignity and justice through organizing, policy innovation, and transformative education.

Our vision is to improve the quality of life for working-class and immigrant families in every community in Nevada. We do this by informing, empowering, and mobilizing our members to take action on the issues that most directly affect their lives—from economic and housing justice to LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive freedom, immigrant protections, youth leadership, and health equity.

Founded in the wake of the October 1, 2017 Mandalay Bay mass shooting, MRNV began by standing with undocumented survivors who were turned away from support because of their immigration status. Since then, we have grown into a powerful home for thousands of members across the state who organize, advocate, and lead to create lasting change in Nevada.

Join us in building a Nevada where every family can thrive.
